I've tested it and everything seems to work well. The project can now be compiled and run both with gradle and the simple POSIX shell scripts, though it seems that only the scripts can pass on arguments to the program. (If you can't do that then it defeats the entire purpose)

Since I'm the project owner and there are no collaborators, I'm forcibly merging without approvals.
